Below is a selection of recordings made at The Hitchin Priory. These recordings were made on the Sunday afternoon, what a great sound they made after only meeting that weekend.

Sing for Fun

by Amanda Frawley

Sing for fun, on the run.
Day night noon, if not in tune.
Take the time, find the rhyme.
Sing out loud, sing out proud.
Feeds the soul, fills the hole.
Beats depression and recession.
If you make, a mistake.
No-one moans, no-one stares.
No-one groans, no-one cares.
Sing for fun, everyone.
In a group, join the loop.
It wasn't me, who sang off key.
There's no pressure,
Sing at leisure.
No audition, no rejection.
All one voice, make the choice.
Sing for fun, everyone.

This poem was written by
Amanda Frawley who attends the Basingstoke workshop.

Grease One Day Workshop

28th March 2010

£30.00 pp Inc Tea, Coffee and Lunch

Come and sing Grease!  Learn a medley of the hits from the show in a fun atmosphere with all music, a lovely lunch and plenty of tea and coffee included in the price.

Grease is a 1972 musical by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey. The show takes its name from the 1950s United States working-class youth subculture known as the greasers. The musical, set in 1959 at fictional Rydell High School (loosely based on William Howard Taft High School (Chicago)), follows ten working-class kids as they navigate the complexities of love, cars, and drive-ins.

The medley consists of: Grease, Summer Nights, We Go Together, Rock 'n' Roll Party Queen and You're The One That I Want, all which have been cleverly linked and arranged in two part harmony which will be taught in the usual Sing For Fun way.

The day starts at 10am and finishes at 4pm
